Quickly joining Voras on the phantom trace lean against the wall near the side doors and said "remind me never to let it near any of my mechs" before looking back to the crash site as the banshee finally exploded in a blue energy "... or near my ship for that matter".

Abaddon followed Voras onto the phantom. After Trace spoke Abbadon began to talk to himself out loud. "Yes a mech, Im sure it couldn't be that much different from the Colossi we had on my home world. How hard could it possibly be to pilot a primitive organic mech." Abaddon began researching mechs using Earth's internet. "Yes, this thing called a Gundam seems pretty easy to pilot I'm sure after five to ten test runs ill get the hang of it."

Trace just stared at Abaddon and said "touch my mechs let alone crash one of them im melting you down to make spare parts" before turning to Voras and asked "so what exactly caused us to leave in such a rush?"

"There are unknown signals being sent out from beneath the island to our east. They seem to not be of human origin. I want to investigate." Voras replied. The phantom sped off toward the location of one of these signals. They once again picked up an escort of human gunships, but they made no move to attack. As the phantom flew over the east river a storm began to appear over head. According to the phantom's instruments it was an electromagnetic storm. A very powerful one, seemingly out of nowhere. Voras turned to Abbadon. "Construct, you have been here before, is this a natural occurrence?" He asked and showed the machine the readings on one of the side screens.

Abaddon thought about it for a moment and after analyzing the readings on the screens he spoke to Voras. "An storm like this is possible on Earth, but this particular storm appears to have a foreign source."

"Understood." Voras replied. The clouds overhead began to darken as the phantom neared one of the signals. The signal was coming from the center of an intersection. The phantom slowed and stopped about a block away over a building. Voras turned to the others. "We must move quickly and remain unseen, follow me." Voras quickly jumped out of the dropship and cloaked, then began making his way toward the intersection by rooftop.

Abaddon cloaked himself and followed Voras. The signal seemed familiar to Abaddon but he could not place it. Something was interfering with his tracking mechanisms.

"follow them they said and then off they go with there cloaking" trace grumbled out as he clicked a button on near the his jacket collar and his pilot helmet materialized and set it to a thermal view to track the two.

Voras heard the phantom away back toward the Transcendence and didn't bother to check if the human helicopters had seem them. He heard them go off with his dropship, so perhaps they hadn't detected them. Perhaps this storm is interfering with their instruments as well as ours. Voras looked back toward the heavy cruiser and watched as it ascended into the sky to avoid the storm. He turned back toward his objective, the strange energy signature. He eventually made it to the intersection and as he did he was blinded by a bright flash of light. lighting had just struck the middle of the intersection, creating a crack of sorts in the middle. Then suddenly it struck again in the same place, then once more and then it finally stopped. The humans below him had began to gather around the small smoking hole that had been punched in the pavement.
The massive vessel approached the three vastly smaller ships before stopping 200 kilometers away. The ship did not try to communicate, nor try to attack, it merely waited.
Voras felt the ground shake beneath him. Not like an earthquake, but he felt a slight vibration. He could see the humans below react to it as well. The ground began to crack and cave in slightly and the humans ran from the intersection onto the side streets. The ground did not cave fully in, but rather in a circle of sorts. a large brick building across from Voras had it's front broken apart and the center of the intersection began to rotate counter clockwise once it was disconnected from the roads. Then suddenly it stopped. Voras pulled his Carbine off his back and prepared for anything. the circle of concrete suddenly caved in and fell like a sinkhole. As dust filled the streets and the humans began backing away Voras heard SOMETHING in the pit. it was like an engine beginning to warm up. Then, suddenly a massive tube like structure extended upward from the pit and arched down onto the ground, crushing one of the human vehicles. Then two more appeared in much the same manner. As the dust began to clear Voras saw a massive vehicle rising out of the ground. He heard an extremely powerful engine begin to stir up as the large walker brought itself up. Rubble was atop it's head and began to fall once the massive vehicle raised itself up. At full height the vehicle was 45 meters tall, taller than a normal scarab. Voras quickly attempted to activate his com and get reinforcements but it was useless. He couldn't raise anyone with his com, the tripod must be jamming him. The vehicle suddenly bellowed a long low horn like noise, causing the humans below to cover their ears. Voras watched the machine lower two small arm like contraptions out from below and they began to glow a bright white. The light suddenly lashed out and hit a human, turning them to ash. The other humans began to run in terror as the walker began it's indiscriminate killing spree. Voras stood still on the rooftop and remembered very similar scenes to this. But ones where he was the one killing the human civilians. For the first time in many years Voras was frozen by indecision. Should he help the humans and attack this new foe? Or should he leave them to their fate?

Abaddon stared up at the tripod. "Martians, its always Martians." First at the Galactic Trading Hub, then in the Fieryon Galaxy, and now here. Do these guys ever take a break?" Abaddon begins scanning the craft and analyzing its structure.

The massive machine continued in it's murderous stride and Voras looked around for Trace. Once he saw him he just stared at him for a few seconds and clenched his mandibles tightly together. "I know not whether to help these humans or to watch them be destroyed... I want to know what you believe is right to do."

Trace stayed silent fore a moment before letting out a tired sigh and said "i may not like fighting but we very well may have been the reason why the Martians got to this planet in the first place. and if not from what the scrap heap said they might try to go after us next anyway so might as well fallow the old saying the enemy of my enemy is my ally or something like that".

Voras gave Trace an intense glare before nodding. "So be it. We combat this menace until they submit or until none of their species remains alive." Voras put his carbine on his back and brandished his energy sword. "Go Keirdran, use your combat suit, I shall distract the walker the best I can. Construct, with me!" Voras shouted at the two before disabling his camo and running along the rooftop toward the tripod. The tripod was only a block away, not far, but it must not have noticed him yet.
The massive disk ship suddenly opened up four ports along the side facing the small fleet. They glowed a bright light blue for a few seconds before launching forth four individual projectiles, torpedoes it looked like. They quickly crossed the void of space and found their target. One impacted each of the covenant ships while two tracked onto the heavy cruiser. The covenant ships shields flared immediately after impact. Their shields dropped to just below 50%. The two cruisers turned to port and began to accelerate and charged their own torpedoes. Both cruisers launched a total of 14 torpedoes. The plasma torpedoes easily found their mark on the massive vessel, but a shield appeared as they impacted. A massive purple barrier appeared and showed no damage to the ship.

"Sir shall we commence the jump?" A Chief Lieutenant of Rusev's questioned. Rusev replies with a hasty " Yes make them pay for what all they have done." "Alright" The Lieutenant responded as he moved his hands to the slipspace controls. As they were about to commence the jump, the Lieutenant yelled " Sir somethings wrong!" Then all around the ships a purple glow shimmered, nobody knew what was happening, suddenly a wormhole of some sorts sucked all 5 of the ships in. The wormhole shined with an odd pinkish glow. Then as suddenly as it all happened the 5 Insurrectionist ships had vanished into the wormhole. On Rusev's flagship "The Eternal Night" Rusev found himself puzzled, "What happened" Rusev said to his Chief Lieutenant " I don't know sir" he replied. "Lieutenant, go check the ships systems and defenses, see if there still working". "Yes sir" he replied. As his Lieutenant exited the room Rusev pondered to himself where they had gone.
