Voras was in a formation, the two ultras on each side of him. He scanned the strange creature, it remind him of some beasts he had seen on human worlds. Except it talked, walked and stood as any sapient would. Then his eyes drifted to a figure behind the creature... Human...
"Vermin..." Voras growled. He quickly ignited his blade, standing in a ready stance. The ultras did likewise, drawing their rifles and aiming them at the duo. Even the phantom gun turret turned to phase the two. "You dare consult with that human? Heresy! They are a race that demands extinction. They dared defile relics of the gods, and for that they shall be cleansed!" He split his mandibles in all directions, baring his teeth to try and intimidate the small creature.

not liking they way this might turn out trace quickly activated Shuwarutsea Rēgen and quickly leveled the rail gun on the formation and quickly snapping his fingers a few zaku activated and leveled there guns on the gunship "now then two things one you might want to lower your weapons and and two she is not human last time i checked humans don't have wings".

"Fool." Voras growled, his gaze not wavering as he heard the machines behind him activate. "Do you think you can outrun our fleet? They need but the sound of battle to close in and destroy this scrap you consider a warship. And unlike the cowardice you share with these vermin, we Sangheili fear not death." It was true, he didn't fear death, nor did his warriors. But he also wasn't a fool. Fools charged blindly to their death, he would rather choose how he died. And be remembered for bringing honor to his name in battle, not dying in some scum's useless excuse for a cruiser.

"interesting but did it ever acre to you that i can just have them step on you no fighting required" trace said as he jabbed his thumb behind him to his zaku units "and yet you have yet to answer me of what human do you know with wings" he said getting annoyed by this arrogant prick.

Voras actually chuckled at that. He brought up his coms, and spoke so everyone could hear. "Song of Retribution, order all vessels to surround this floating scrap. If it fires it's thrusters you will destroy it. We shall die with die knowing we have put an end to yet another group of heretics." He waited for confirmation from the com officer, then switched off the coms.
He continued to give the creature his glare. "That thing could have been created in a lab, it is an abomination. It is nothing short of another reason to cleanse this galaxy of their pathetic existence!"

"lets see die and take you with me or surrender and die anyway ... you make this a very obvious choice " he said in a irritated tone "and that thing as you call her is my first mate and a very dear friends so if im going down i will enjoy dragging you to hell with me " he said in an eerily calm tone.

Voras cocked his head to the side in surprise. "Brave of you, but it will not save you. We shall both die with honor." He quickly barked an order to the ultra on his left, and he handed Voras his sword. Voras examined the hilt for a moment, the holy forerunner glyphs etched in the surface glowing a slight blue. Then he tossed the hilt at the creature, and waited for the duel to begin.

trace caught the handle and then cocked his head to the side with a raised eyebrow "the hell is this"

"Have you not handled a blade before? I am disappointed." Voras shook his head slightly, then readied his energy sword once more. The blue blade sending ominous light across the area they stood in.

"a blade yes this thing not so much " trace said as a purple beam of energy formed into his free hand "now this is a sword" he said with a smirk.

Voras visibly flexed his mandibles flexed his mandibles for second, then lunged. He brought the sword back behind him, then slashed up as he neared, using speed and attempting to get under the alien's guard.

Traces reflexes kicked in as he brought his saber down in a diagonal ark to knock the sword away before following up with a thrust.

Voras sidestepped the thrust, bringing his blade back up to slash at the alien's gut.

trace quickly did a pack step using his thrusters dodging the slash before jumping forward with and another overhead slash.

Voras brought the sword up and knocked the other blade to his right. He used the split second to launch a kick with his left leg at his opponent's midsection.
