"You are reclaimer. Though your body must have been modified along your spinal cord and cranium structure. These modifications are not recommended as they may damage your circulatory system. You humans are quite fragile!" The monitor spoke. Voras simply stood silent as he watched the oracle. He didn't have any idea what was going on, or why the oracle seemed to have taken an instant interest in the human.
"Angeloid? Unknown designation." It suddenly floated up to Ikarus's side and seemed to examine her wings and mechanical ears to a great degree. "I must recomend a surgical removal of these modifications, but in order to preform your operation I will need a sample from your DNA." Carillon stated. Suddenly a blue beam shot from the monitor's eye and hit the side of Ikarus's arm. It would cause momentary pain and sting for a while.

even though ikaros showed no outward reaction at the monitor,s action it annoyed Trace slightly. "hey sparky try that again and i will let a round loose in you cpu" trace said as his hand moved hear his pistol to emphasize his point. With his threat delivered he turned back to the the group and the asked "ok so why did you bring us here and whats up with the men in black (space nazi)?".

"Impertinent creature!" The oracle shouted. "You will do no such thing. Do not threaten me again or you will be disposed of." Carillon floated threateningly toward Trace and seemed to glare in his own odd way at the alien. Voras was tempted to gut the alien, he had just insulted a holy oracle. But once again he was to mystified by what was going on to do anything. Carillon floated back to Ikarus and seemed to instantly calm down. "You are not reclaimer, DNA strands are incomplete. Resemblance to Homo-Sapiens irrelevant. Your DNA is scattered, you are artificial. Judging by rate of cellular separation, this body has existed for over 50,000 standard years. Your cranial mass is dominated by an artificial brain, it is partially organic, partially cybernetic. You are a construct." The monitor finished, as if it was finishing a lecture. "Construct, who is your maker?"

"Unfortunate." The monitor said in a disappointed tone. "Of course I could break through your code to see for sure, but that would require your companion'a will to do so." It turned back to Trace. "What are you creature? I have not seen your species before, and I have a record of all sentient life within this galaxy."

"Hm, curious. I have the records of all species from this galaxy dating back 100,000 standard years." He floated over to the Jal. "And what are you, creature?"

Jal watched as the little space ball floated towards him and hoped to high heaven that it didn't speak to him, but his hopes were shattered once the oracle stoped at him and that stupid little light in the middle of its hull began to light up and it asked a question "My name is Jal and I am part of the Therakian empire" Jal responded.

"Interesting, your species shares many similarities to my creators. But biological similarities will not change the decision of the ecumene council." The monitor replied. "Only reclaimers may operate our tools now. I would like to ask you of your culture, if it-" "Oracle, the explanation if you would?" The maroon clad shipmaster interrupted. "Of course, what would you like to know?" The monitor floated back above the table and seemed to look over the four. "Oracle... What happened to the Forerunners?" Voras asked slowly. "My creators sacrificed themselves when they activated the Halo array, killing off all sentient life in three radii from the galactic center. Would you like to see relevant data?" It calmly asked. Voras was speechless. For a second he didn't believe it, but at the same time he had just heard it from a construct that was created by those he had just called gods. "Utsos, the prophets have betrayed us..." Voras said slowly. The shipmaster merely nodded. The oracle floated off at a gesture from the shipmaster and started screwing around with a purple holopanel on the side of the table. "With how long you've been lost out here, it would be no surprise you didn't find out." The shipmaster said. "With how long I've been gone? I had sent my last report earlier this cycle." Voras replied. And he did, earlier before his drive decided to shut down. "The last report High Charity received was two dozen cycles ago!" He replied. (A couple months.) "Impossible..." Voras muttered. "I was sent to search for you. We feared you might have joined them, so we went to where your fleet was supposed to be. All we found was the oracle. Once we jumped we tried to contact our fleet, but we dropped out here." The zealot explained. "I think I may be able to provide an explanation to most of your questions." The monitor suddenly piped up, and floated back to the center of the table. "You were caught in a transdimensional rift. My creators never mastered traveling through them, but they are rare deformations in slipspace that cause vessels to escape time and space and escape our own physical reality. Even farther then slipspace. Many unstable drives, such as your poorly reverse engineered fusion drive pick up upon these rifts and are carried away to another realm. Another universe if you would. Congratulations, because of you we have finally found where the ships that never exit slipspace go. Though this was a not a problem for my creators... They never tried mastering travel like this. But because of your extreme luck, we have proven my creators correct on the speculation of other universes." The monitor said, and seemed to grow more and more exited.

As the floating ball and the slit mouthed creature babbled about whatever, he had no clue what they were talking about nor did he care because he was a bit annoyed. The only thing that was keeping him here was the two words universal travel. He figured that this could pose a great tactical importance to his race and stayed quiet. He tried his best to listen throughout the conversation, but the conversation quickly ended after the mention of said universal travel and Jal was annoyed he didn't want to stay here anymore. He wasn't going to stay here anymore listening to a flying ball that talks. "Is this all I'm here for is this stupid floaty ball" Jal outbursted with an annoyed tone

Getting bored from the rambling from the two trace began to nod off till the outburst from the strange man woke him up. "finally someone whose on the same page " trace said with a bit of joy as he slammed his hands down on the table before continuing "now then can we just get this over with so we can all go our own way".

"Floaty ball? I am 859 Static Carillon, monitor of shield installation 5015." Carillon stated. and floated over toward Trace. "I must request that you remain with the meddlers. I will be able process and understand all of your technology this way." "Oracle... Are the reclaimers you speak of human?" Voras asked. The monitor floated toward him. "Yes. I served my creators before they activated the rings. Now that they are gone, I will serve the reclaimers if they shall find me." The monitor replied. "What happened to the forerunners?" Voras asked cautiously. "After exhausting every other strategic option, my creators activated the rings. They and all other life in three radii from galactic center died, as planned." It routed off with ease. "The prophets truly have betrayed us..." Voras said quietly, and leaned on the table. The shipmaster on the other side merely nodded.

"I am 859 Static Carillon, monitor of shield installation 5015." It repeated and turned toward Jal, almost annoyed. After glaring for a second it turned back toward Voras. "I would recommend the settlement of a planet soon. Your vessels don't have the supplies necessary for long term operation. It would also be advised that we remain hidden from the rest of the galactic body, we are an unknown, and do not know how they would react. Survival of your species and keeping hidden should be our priorities. It gave a quick look to Jal and Trace. "You will stay with this fleet. I have already blocked all outbound communication, do not be alarmed."
