"Where the hell are you off to?" Shawn asked as James tried to leave. Just then, the cabin's counselor made his presence known by lightly pushing past the kids toward them. Luke. He didn't say anything yet though, just kinda stood there and waited for them to finish their bickering.

"Dude, you might not understand but mortal weapons can't hurt monsters. That sword of yours is a cold steel short sword. It can't do shit to monsters. You can wait till later to get your precious sword back." Shawn replied dryly.

James looked surprised," If it cant kill monsters then there's a lot of monsters that need to be told their not dead. I picked that sword up in the Underworld and I haven't let it out of my sight since"

"Wait, you..." Shawn's eyes widened. "Oh shit." He looked over at David and Luke. Luke's eyes had increased in size as well. "We need to get him to Chiron, now!" Shawn practically shouted. Everyone else in the cabin seemed confused, but Shawn ignored it. Enough jokes, this was serious. "Luke, get Annabeth, meet us at the Big House, ASAP!" He said, then rushed out the door.

David saw shawn run out in a hurry he turned back to the cabin and said "everyone calm down" he said calmly "lets just head back to the big house and get this figured out" before walking out the cabin and giving a hand motion to Luke and James and follow him .

James followed David to the Big House. When him and David arrived at the house, Shawn was waiting inside babbling incoherent nonsense to Chiron, who was trying to get him to calm down. "Sooo can I get my sword back or what?"

Shawn took a deep breath. "He's been to the underworld, and has a Stygian Iron sword to prove it. He could be a child of Hades for all we know! And you know how bad that would be!" Shawn explained. Chiron held his chin in his hand for a second.
"We can not jump to conclusions, Shawn. He could be from a number of gods or goddess'. We must wait until he is claimed, for now we must reserve judgement. I suggest you stay with him if you are so concerned. It may help ease your fears." He said, then turned to the others in his little magic wheelchair thing. "For now I will depart. The only reason I have been at camp was to see this new half-blood." He rolled over toward James. "I apologize that we could not meet at a better time, I'm sure this confusing for you. I must be off now though, I have important business to take care of upstate. When I return we shall talk more." He said and shook James's hand before nodding to to David and Shawn then leaving.

"still over thinking things again it seems" David said before he whacked Shawn in the back of his head "now then like Chiron said even though he got a sword from the underworld there is still at least four possible parents ... who knows he could be my brother for all we knnow " David said with a wishful smile.

"Around now." Shawn replied, then walked off expecting them to follow him to the pavilion. God damn son of a bitch. I got a feeling the next few weeks are gonna get really shit, or really exciting.

Fast forward to one day before Capture the Flag. James wakes up early, no one else seems to be up. He walks to the restrooms to brush his teeth. Once he looks into the mirror he see's a goatee drawn on him in marker. "Mother f*ckers!" James tried removing it but it wouldn't disappear. He ran back to the cabin, "Which one of you bastards did this!"

As James ran into the cabin yelling and ended up waking about half the cabin. David looked up from his pillow and gave James a blank before going laying back down to get a few more moments of sleep.

1 Day LaterFriday, June 3rd, 2005Just Outside The Forest, Camp Half BloodA day after James's adventure with magic marker, the camp got together for the weekly capture the flag game. The two teams were Athena, Hermes, Dionysus, and Demeter; VS Apollo, Aphrodite, Ares, and Hephaestus. Team one was lead by Athena. Team two was lead by Apollo. Athena would have control of the West forest. Apollo would control East. The campers were gathered around the edge of the forest, all listening to Dionysus explain the rules, which he wasn't thrilled to do. After the speech the teams set about arming themselves. Shawn went with his usual, light leather armor over his normal clothes and no helmet. For his weapon he got himself a fancy looking double edged sword he had never seen before. James had asked Chiron to let him use his Stygian Iron sword, but he said it would be better just to use a Celestial bronze one. He wore black leather armor which allowed for full mobility. James was told to stay back and guard the flag. He was less than thrilled but didn't argue.
