He doesn't like to talk about his own past either. History: Dimitri Volkov was born in Moscow on July 23rd, 1990. He doesn't remember it much, but they immigrated to America later that same year. They lived in Los Angeles for the whole of his childhood. His father was a politician. Mother a banker. They made a decent wage. He was a normal high school senior when his life changed. His father was murdered in November 2008. He knew it was murder. It was ruled a suicide though. One shot to the head, 9mm, M9 on the floor next to him. He knew it wasn't a suicide though. This was something his father would never do. His mother mourned the loss, but she also acted different, anxious. It was only a week before Christmas when she disappeared. Just left. Dimitri didn't know what to do with himself, he knew mourning wouldn't solve anything. He wanted to make some difference, feel as though he was doing good. He enlisted in the US Army one week after new years. Dimitri hated boot camp. But he learned a couple things from it. One, he liked blades. He loved the feeling of a blade in his hand. Two, he was great at knocking people on their ass. CQB seemed like his thing. Three, he was actually good with a gun. Not sniper good, but still pretty good. And four, he was fast. But somehow managed to be sneaky at the same time. After training he got shipped off to Iraq. He was expecting to do some good. He was wrong. They didn't do anything bad, but they just didn't do much at all. He could never satisfy his potential when they only had a few odd skirmishes on a few rare occasions. He returned to the US in early 2013, and felt empty. He didn't do what he wanted, he didn't change anything. But when he looked back, he realized there was no way he could change anything as a grunt in the US Army. He moved back to LA, tried to restart his life. His fight seemed over, and he wanted a normal life. About a year later, early 2014, he received a letter. "Do you wish to continue your father's work?" Dimitri had no idea what that meant. His dad was some politician. Like he needed to continue that. Dimitri ignored the odd letter and continued on with his life. He was working as a bartender at the time. Not an amazing job, but it paid the bills. One night he decided to stay late, clean up, just to be nice. When he arrived home he found his home trashed. Furniture torn up, pieces of wall torn open, it was as if the Midwest had moved into his house and brought all the tornadoes with it. He called the cops, he didn't like that some thugs had decided to break all his shit. It pissed him off. 30 minutes later he was greeted. Not by an officer as the operator had said. But rather only something he could describe as a kill squad. They ransacked his place again, then interrogated him. Asking questions about Assassins. He didn't know anything about an assassin! Then, a second squad some in. The first turned to them in alarm. Then, all hell broke loose. Dimitri had passed out during the exchange, he didn't know how. He wasn't home, that place would never be the same. What with all the bullet holes. He was in a room with a man, a very old man. In his 80s or 90s. The man explained everything to him. His father's murder, his mother's disappearance, and how he got caught up with it. The men who tried to murder him, from a company called Abstergo. Or as the Assassins called them, Templars. They had wanted his memories, either by capturing him, and forcing him into some machine. Or, by killing him and having others do the same. Both his mother and father were Assassin's, and had somehow hidden it from him. He was asked if he wished to continue their legacy. He accepted. For the next year he trained. He trained a straight 6 months. He learned to be decent at parkour, the Assassin's favored method of getting around. He was only okay though. The other Assassins could easily out run him. But he was good enough. He was trained to be better with weapons as well. He got better with his guns and knifes. But again, the others still outclassed him, he had a lot of work if he wanted to be as good as them. They had been training their whole lives. He only just started. He also learned about an ability he had within himself. a 6th sense. Something so rare it might as well not exist. He only learned how to harness it with the Assassins. After his first six months they let him go on missions with others. To act as support. They rarely needed it though. He split his time between missions and training. At the beginning of 2015, he received his first mission. A simply recovery mission. It was a trap. A trap he easily sprung on himself. An Assassin hunter team was just waiting for the opportunity to snag an Assassin. So he could tell them where the next Assassin base was. But they didn't get the chance. Personality: He's kinda a dick, but in the fun 'we're the best of buddies' sort of way. He gets serious in combat, though he does make a couple jokes once and a while. History: Alex was born in 1941, in Washington, his father was a pilot in the marines. Only reason he was born was because his parents wanted to make love before he departed for training. When the war started he was shipped off, and he got shot down in the Philippians. For some reason he had always had a liking for aircraft after that, he didn't know why... Several years later he joined the air force to participate in the Vietnam war. His training took about a year and a half and he proved to be an exemplary jet pilot. They even let him take some other classes for flying helicopters and larger planes. He wasn't as good in the others as he was with a fighter though. He was shipped off in late 1963, and first saw action in early 1964. The pilot had dueled Migs and come out unscathed in instances that would make lesser pilots seem like mere RC plane pilots. He started getting different missions though, napalm strikes. He knew they were necessary, but he was a fighter pilot. He shouldn't be dropping bombs. Though he was good at it, so he kept getting the assignments. Finally the day came where the Viet Cong had decided to get competent air cover. Two Migs had ambushed him while he was low and slow, dropping napalm. He barely pulled up out of the first strafing run. But for some reason he couldn't fire his missiles. Must have been a malfunction. He pulled straight up and tried to get as high as he could before making a run for it. He was intercepted by a missile. He radar operator, Jim, was killed on impact. As the rear of his F4 Phantom broke apart he tried ejecting. He couldn't, another malfunction. He panicked as he was stuck and couldn't get out. Though Alex would never find out, he was shot down by veteran Soviet pilots flying Migs with Vietnamese markings. As they watched their most recent kill plummet toward the ground they saw something unbelievable happen. A black sphere with a notable blue outline appeared in front of the doomed jet. It disappeared when the jet entered. But the jet had disappeared as well. Not many would learn the true fate of Alex Daniels. Friends and family would be told he was shot down, presumed dead. Era: Custom Name: Alexander Hale Age: 19 Gender: Male Race: Human Appearance: Blond hair, blue eyes. Roughly 5 feet, 8 inches. Muscular but not bulky. Casually wears a suit. Any other time he's wearing gold lined white armor. Rarely wears helmet. Personality: Privately he's self centered, arrogant, and spoiled. Publicly, he is foolish, and constantly trying to impress others. When it comes to honor and justice he becomes dead serious. History: Born in England in 1873, and raised as a regular child until one day an organization took him. They had acquired many children who they thought had heroic past lives. They trained them and had them fight each other attempting to unlock the powers of their past lives. Alexander had barely mastered the ability to summon his Heroic Weapon before an attack on the facility they were being held in resulted in many of the children dying. Alexander however was able to escape. He would then wander for miles until he came across a forest. Though he didn't realize it at the time. This forest was ancient and magical, moving from place to place and back and forth in time every so often. It was The Enchanted Forest. Talents: very slightly above average at sword play. Name: Nicholas Archman Age: 19 Gender: Male Race: Shadowkiin, An elf like race of beings are immortal, meaning they can't die from natural causes. They are a race who is naturally more proficient at darkness magic. Appearance: Black hair, blue eyes, pointed ears, pale skin, around 6ft 9in, wears a shiny black full body armor with a tattered cape. He rarely wears the helmet, primarily wearing a black princes crown. His right arm has no armor over it. It's covered in grey bandages. Underneath, his arm is greyer than the rest of his skin. It has a bunch of black markings all over it. Personality: Hes quite, but enjoys conversation. He loves learning new magic and the science behind it. Hates pretty much anything Light based. History: Was born to the King of Alamar, the capital city of the Shadowkiin region. He was raised as a prince for 15 years until the day came where he wished to explore the world. He fled the castle and travelled to the border of the territory. There he found a village of dark magic users, however almost all of them were human. He arrived at the home of an old sorcerer, who not knowing who Nicolas was took him in. He taught him about the wonders of magic which in the castle, were forbidden to learn. Nicolas took a distinct liking to darkness magic, as the old man thought he would, being that Nick was a Shadowkiin. He learned all the basics in only 4 years which would have taken a human triple that amount of time. The old man died a couple months after that. So Nicholas began his journey back home, thinking his family would surely have missed him over all this time. The only problem was Nicholas couldn't remember the way back. All of the dark wasteland he had traveled looked the same to him. Name: Hylo 'Utsasee Age: 26 Gender: Male Race: Sangheili (or elite) Appearance: Personality: Honorable, Loyal to his kind, Due to the Prophets betraying the elites in the Ninth Age of Reclamation it takes a long time to earn his trust, and a decent leader
History: Hylo 'Utsas was born into the state of Utsas so says his last name. He was born into a warrior society so many things were expected of him like training and joining the covenant forces to strike down all who oppose there might. Not surprisingly he as grew older he began to train and prepare himself for something that he and millions of others young Sangheili males are pushed to join. Skip ahead a few years when he joined the Covenant at the age of 16 and got his weapon and combat harness he was stationed on a ship until needed. In 2544 what the UNSC call the Battle of Miridem the ship Hylo was on was called to the system to provide ground support. A large quantity of phantoms were sent out of the ship carrying the usual covenant attack force. Hylos phantom hovered over the drop spot, and a squad of elites including Hlyo appeared from the phantom. Hylo and the others did exactly as they were told by the Sangheili major. The minors fresh out of the barracks; craving a taste of real combat, anxiously followed the major. The major leader of the squad was not as anxious as the minors; he knew what the humans were capable of and has experienced it first hand. He knew well this anxiousness and compulsivity that many minors have has gotten many a Sangheili killed. The major gave a signal for the minors to stop, as they stopped a group of marines ambushed them killing the major and a few elites and grunts before they were driven off. All the elites that were left were either pumped and ready for more action or worried about the fact that they didn't have a leader. Except Hylo, he remained calm and got all of his bretheren back in line and able to continue the mission.
