Victor ignored the insult, instead deciding to focus on the fact the man seemed to have said too much. He said the artifact was with him. Victor narrowed his eyes, and paused for a second, enough to make it uncomfortable, before he threw a hard punch at the man's face with his right arm. He intended to knock the man out with a single hit, take the artifact, and find a way home. If what he said was true, Victor might not be able to use it, but give him clues on how to find others. What happened to the fool that believed in magic he didn't care about now though.

Taking the punch to the face without even flinching "now what was that supposed to do" he said as blood leaked out his nose and with a free hand moved victors arm to the side before pulling of his glasses and a lens dropped out. Adam let out a sigh "and those where a gift ... so you want to see what it can do so be it" a muffled light began glowing under his jacket.

Victor backed up in surprise, the man wasn't as weak as he had anticipated. When he saw the glow he frowned. "I didn't want to kill you, but you leave me no choice." With a hiss his hidden blade leapt from his left arm, having been hidden under his sleeve. It's metal seemed to shine for a brief moment before Victor lunged at his target.

In a flash of light Adam,s clothes changed from his uniform to a black dress shirt a pair of dark denim jeans a strange sword in his hands and most notably a pair of hovering earpiece and a large metal construct on his back with what looked like a pair of mini turrets. "Fufufu, ya scared?" Adam said in a almost mocking tone before holding his sword sideways to block with the flat of the blade. With his blade successfully deflected, Victor backed up slightly and adopted a defensive stance. He gave his opponent a quick look over, ignoring his comment. Victor looked at the the combat harness that had appeared, as well as the sword. Similar to a katana, optimized for slashing. The miniature turrets on his back. Could be anti-vehicle, one shot for either, likely long reload. The headset looking part. Might be able to call in reinforcements. After his quick assessment Victor determined that he could easily take on this man, even with his combat harness. But he had to get in close. If he managed to call in help, he would have to retreat. His years of experience took over as his right hand shot toward his holster, pulling forth his pistol.

The moment he pulled out his pistol, Victor was blinded by a bright white light. It took a few seconds to blink away the blindness, but when he did, he noticed that both he and Teitoku were standing the same distance apart as before, except now they certainly weren't in some dim alley. It was day time now, mid day by the looks of it, and they were in the middle of a war zone. Not only that, but they were on top of a massive skyscraper. To his left was an elevator, and to the right could see a group of US destroyers in a river, as well as more massive skyscrapers that made him think of huge east Asian cities. Of course far closer to him was the deafening sound of a helicopter. It was so close in fact that the wind from it's rotors blew his hood from his head. Currently, the helicopter hovered off the edge of the building, and next to it was a full squad of five soldiers who simply stared at the two who appeared out of nowhere. The helicopter was a transport variant, two door gunners. The soldiers has their face's covered, but the large flag patch on their shoulder gave away their allegiance. They were Chinese. Victor didn't know how they just got here, but he knew that firing a round from his weapon wouldn't be the smartest idea. However, he wasn't about to lower it either. He kept his weapon trained on the man. The soldiers circled around him, now raising their weapons and yelling in Chinese. He knew someone was going to make a move, it wasn't going to be him. Two soldiers moved behind him, two behind Teitoku. The fifth was likely the commander, he stood off to the side. He seemed to try to yell at Victor, likely ordering him to lower his weapon. Eventually the man seemed to tire from waiting and with a wave of his hand his men attempted to grab him. They tried to do the same to Teitoku, however that's all Victor saw. One man made a grab for his arm and as soon as he touched him, Victor had brought his pistol to bear. One shot to the face. The other man had lowered his weapon to try to grab him as well. He now backed off, about to raise his weapon and fill the assassin with lead. He didn't get the chance. Victor shot the man in the leg and lunged at him. He grabbed the poor man and used him as a shield from any of the others who would shoot him. He looked at the commander who glared at him, but didn't fire. Then he heard the sound of a machine gun spooling up. The door gunner on the chopper was preparing to shoot him. Victor aimed his pistol at the chopper gunner with one hand, using his other to keep the wounded man close. He emptied his mag at the gunner, and managed to hit him. The chopper pilot likely got the message and began to turn away... Only to give the other gunner a shot. Victor wasn't about to stick around though, he backed up toward a ledge behind himself, glanced back for a quick second to make sure the jump was survivable, and leapt off, bringing the wounded man with him two floors down for a hard landing.
